INTRODUCTION OF PVD TO THE WATCHMAKING SECTOR
Watchmaking has been interested in PVD treatment since the early 1980s. Both functional and aesthetic, the first black treatments on watch cases give the watch products a more technical look, offering an alternative to conventional materials such as steel, gold or platinum.
CREATION OF POSITIVE COATING SA
Founded in 2004, POSITIVE COATING stands out for the development of innovative solutions in the field of surface treatments based on PVD technologies (Physical Vapor Deposition). Its main activity is based on decorative coatings for luxury items (metal, ceramic, glass and plastic).
DECORATIVE RED COATING
Patent EP 2392689

DEVELOPMENT OF ALD SOLUTIONS
In order to provide ever more innovative solutions to its customers, and also to address certain issues limiting use of PVD, POSITIVE COATING took an interest in ALD solutions.
By combining these two technologies, it was able to meet the lack of colour stability and homogeneity, and significantly expand the number of colours available.
POSITIVE COATING is able to industrially produce coatings using ALD technology.
